I have to say I miss the differentiation for clerics of different deities – whether we were looking at spheres, choice of spells, or special powers. And I miss having tons of Wizard spells to choose from.
I do like the streamlined combat system. True, it’s more “MMO-ish”… but I find it lets us spend less time keeping track of every little bonus, and gives us a new focus on how our characters can work together effectively in a fight.
It’s only been two encounters so far, so time will tell if this will work out better for us than 2nd or 3rd Ed did. Thanks for the review!
